Champions League draw: Barcelona vs PSG headline

As in every season, the eighths of the Champions League propose extremely interesting clashes. This year, Germany and Spain sent all four represented in this phase of the competition, while Italy and England will go with three each, and France and Portugal will also send their champions.
On Monday, December 14, in Nyon, the optimal draws for the 2020/2021 edition were drawn, and the most awaited match is without a doubt the one between Barcelona and PSG, two teams with great pretensions to winning the trophy.
Bayern Munich, the defending champions, will have a mission, theoretically, easy, and will face Lazio, the team that returned to competition after 13 years. His rival, Dortmund, will face Sevilla, the current holder of the Europa League trophy.
Real Madrid, the most titled team of the competition (13 trophies), will play with Atalanta, a team that is in its second participation in the Champions League, but also in its second experience in the eliminatory phases.
Leipzig, another “sensational” team, will try their luck with Liverpool, while in another German-English duel, Manchester City will face Monchengladbach.
The last match we mention, but not the last one, is the one between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, two teams that are doing very well this season, at the level of the internal championship, but which are also very demanding in the Champions League.
When will the matches be played?
The eighth Champions League matches are scheduled to be played in 2021, in February. The round match will be played on February 16-17, while the return leg will be played a week later.
Who is the favourite to win the trophy?
Currently, betting agencies give Bayern Munich as the favourite to win this edition of the Champions League. The German champion is followed by Manchester City, a team that is still looking for the first final. Liverpool, the winner in 2019, is third, followed by Juventus.
