Harry Kane may leave for astronomical budget

With the pause in sports competitions, Tottenham plunged into a financial crisis taking into account the heavy investment in the new stadium that soon debuted. Thus, the English press has been talking about the possibility of Harry Kane being sold to face financial problems …

200 MILLION EUROS FOR A GOAL-MAKING MACHINE

According to Sky Sports, Spurs owner Daniel Levy may be forced to sell his biggest asset in the next transfer market, however, he intends to put a hefty amount into it. 200 Million Euros is a value within the reach of a few clubs around the world, especially in the financial contention phase due to the new coronavirus, so Daniel Levy’s strategy may not be easy to put into practice.

The club is experiencing a relatively delicate financial moment after investing in a stadium that cost around € 1 billion, something that has forced the club owner to resort to several big loans.

Now, without major sources of ticket revenue or sponsorship due to the pause in competitions, the situation has worsened and a sale of around 200 million euros could ease the pressure on the club’s coffers.

DANIEL LEVY WAS NOT PLEASED WITH PLAYER STATEMENTS

Another reason that may have precipitated the departure of the Tottenham captain was his recent statements in which he said he was thinking of a way out to embrace a new challenge. In a phase of financial difficulties and in a season where the English striker has been injured for long periods, perhaps these statements came out of context and thus displeased the club owner, causing some discomfort within the club.

The English striker has played just 25 games this season, scoring 17 goals and watching for two others, and at the age of 26 he may be starting to wonder if he will ever leave the club to embrace a new project.

Apparently, the club will not create many obstacles to its exit, but the English striker will need to convince some European colossus to pay an astronomical budget for its services, which is not that easy.

EXIT WILL NOT BE FOR RIVALS

Ever since speculation began about Harry Kane’s possible departure last week, the name of Manchester United has been echoing in the British press at a time when the Red Devils are preparing to invest seriously in the next transfer market. But with 100 million euros reserved for Jadon Sancho, it seems difficult that the club can have 200 more to spare to invest in Kane.

Furthermore, the owner of Tottenham is not interested in letting his star slip away to an English rival so he will look favorably on a transfer to Real Madrid or Barcelona. It turns out that any of these Spanish clubs seem to have other plans for the market.

Real Madrid look to Erling Haaland as a priority while Barcelona are active in the fight to secure Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan and Neymar from Paris St-Germain.

Given this, there is no easy scenario for Harry Kane in the near future. The club is finally available to let you go, but the amount you are demanding should be a deterrent to most applicants and the club captain may even stay with the club for a while longer.

JOSÉ MOURINHO REORGANIZES PLANTEL

Mourinho’s first season at the helm of Tottenham has not been easy, but the Portuguese coach is already in the process of reorganizing his troops. Tanguy Ndombele has been a disappointment in his debut season and could be close to joining Barcelona thus freeing up space for the hiring of a new defensive midfielder.

The defensive issue is also a problem at the club that Mourinho will try to solve this summer, starting with the hiring of a central defender who can command the defensive quartet in order to give it more consistency.

As for Harry Kane, I doubt that José Mourinho wants to lose him, but if that happens, it will allow him to go to the market with another financial capacity since English will only come out for a very significant amount.

Anyway, and despite the financial problems that the pause has raised, the truth is that José Mourinho will even have thanked this period of competitive stop to reflect on the targets of the next market and those players he will soon abdicate. A more lively summer market than expected for North East London is expected.
